Some venues are built for 300 guests. The Snug is made for a gathering where everyone has room to connect.
Tucked into Chagrin Falls, The Snug takes its name from the traditional Irish snug: a small corner of the pub where people could settle in for conversation. This modern version brings that intimate feeling to a design showroom and micro-event space. If you’re planning a shower, workshop, or celebration with a smaller guest list, it’s a space worth seeing.

A Space That Does Some of the Decorating for You
The Snug’s interior design rotates. Because it’s also a showroom, the room already has a considered look before you bring in flowers or other event details. Ask what the space will look like on your date, especially if a particular design is part of what drew you to it.
I’m planning my first event here for October 24, so I’ll have more to share after seeing a celebration come together in the space. My early impression is that The Snug is a welcome addition to the options for smaller gatherings in Chagrin Falls.

Room to Gather, Not Get Lost In
The venue lists a seated capacity of 30. For a comfortable seated event, I’d plan for closer to 25 guests and review the exact layout with the venue. For a reception-style gathering, the space can accommodate approximately 40–50 people. I’d use that arrangement for an open house, where guests can move around and arrive at different times.
That flexibility makes The Snug a possibility for a baby or bridal shower, milestone celebration, small workshop, meeting, or brand pop-up. It books by the hour, so you can shape the rental around the event you have in mind.

The Honest Planning Note
For an evening or weekend event, parking lots across the street offer a convenient option for guests and vendors. Confirm parking details with The Snug when you book so you can pass clear instructions along with your invitation.
The venue has preferred vendors, but you can discuss bringing in your own catering and other event providers. Ask for its current alcohol and vendor policies in writing. There’s also an on-site shed that may help with storing and staging items you bring; confirm access and what it can hold before making your setup plan.
My planner’s tip: For a larger event, ask about renting the space the day before. Extra setup time can make a meaningful difference when you’re arranging a smaller room for a full guest list.

Before booking, ask:
What is the confirmed capacity for our specific layout, seated or reception style?
What is the hourly rate, and is there a minimum rental period?
What will the rotating interior design look like on our event date?
What is included in the rental fee?
What are the current catering, vendor, and alcohol policies?
When can vendors load in, and when must everything be removed?
Where should guests and vendors park?
Can we use the storage shed, and what are its restrictions?
Can we rent the space the day before for setup?
Are there limits on event hours or noise?
Who will be on-site during the event?
If we plan to use any outdoor area, what is the weather backup?

Is The Snug Right for Your Event?
The Snug is worth touring if you want a design-forward setting for a gathering that feels personal and relaxed. I’d consider it for a seated event of around 25 people or an open-house-style celebration with a larger, moving crowd.
